Although
there are numerous BI products in the market at present,
most of them are actually not BI products in the true sense.
Why? There are few cases of successful BI implementation.
Just like the implementation of ERP engineering, BI programs
fail as a whole. What on the earth is the cause? The key
is that even those who are engaged in software application
and development do not necessarily know that BI implementation
covers not only enquires, reports (Excel reports and crystal
reports), OLAP, data integration and mining, but also such
functions as semantic layer，ETL(data extraction, transformation
and loading), EIS, alert and Scheduleclient. So during the
implementation of a BI engineering, they do not know for
sure what the BI demands are and what kind of BI products
are needed to meet the demands. So when a BI product can
not meet the demands, the participants have to purchase
other BI products or carry out secondary development to
cover the deficiency. Such problem will make it hard and
even impossible to integrate a unified BI application platform
and too much development work will result in prolonged implementation
period, high cost, low efficiency and strong labor intensity.
As time passes, the engineering participants will lose hope
and abandon BI application and it will become hard to promote
and develop BI application.
Based
on our experience in IT industry for more than twenty years
and our deep understanding and research of BI products,

have both width and depth. Width means that its functions
